ZBecks Football Club Partners with Drug Enforcement Commission to Educate Youths on Drug and Substance Abuse
Ndola, Zambia – ZBecks Football Club, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC), recently conducted a community outreach program in Mushili and at Lubuto Secondary School aimed at educating young people about the dangers of drug and substance abuse.
The initiative brought together DEC officers and ZBecks Football Club representatives to engage youths in meaningful discussions about the harmful effects of drugs, the consequences of substance abuse, and the importance of making positive life choices. The sessions provided valuable information on how drug abuse can affect health, education, relationships, and future opportunities.
Through interactive discussions and educational presentations, participants were encouraged to stay away from substances that can negatively impact their lives and to focus on activities that contribute to personal growth and community development. The program also highlighted the importance of peer influence and empowered young people to become role models among their friends and classmates.
As a club committed to community development, ZBecks Football Club recognizes that football can be a powerful platform for promoting awareness and inspiring positive change. Beyond developing talented athletes, the club is dedicated to helping young people build discipline, confidence, and responsible lifestyles.
The partnership with the Drug Enforcement Commission reflects a shared commitment to protecting and empowering the next generation. By bringing these important messages directly to the community and schools, the initiative is helping to raise awareness and reduce the risks associated with drug and substance abuse among young people.
The response from pupils and community members was overwhelmingly positive, with many participants actively engaging in discussions and demonstrating a strong commitment to making informed and responsible decisions.
